How do I issue a refund?

Modified on Mon, 9 Jun at 2:51 PM

Dealing with refunds can be a part of selling books, and we're here to guide you through it in a friendly and easy-to-understand way.

You don't need to request a refund if you reject any item as unavailable, or the order is canceled by the customer before you have changed the order status to Shipped. Our system will automatically void those transactions. If you have canceled one or more books in a multi-book order before marking the order shipped, we'll adjust the settled amount of the transaction automatically, and no refund will need to be issued.

If you need to reduce the postage cost, rather than refunding a book's price in part or in full, you will want to use the option to Adjust Chargeinstead. You'll see that option only when the order is New and not yet marked Shipped.

How to Issue a Refund:

  1. Go to BiblioDirect and click on "Orders".
  2. Find the order that needs a refund and click "Refund" in the Order Summary section.

Specify the Details:

You'll see a form where you can tell us how much you want to refund and why. This message will be passed along to the customer when we confirm the refund has been issued. Add your note and you're done!

What Happens Next:

Once you've completed the form, we'll process the refund within 24 hours. We'll even reach out to the customer on your behalf, and you'll get an email confirmation too. Easy, right?
