International Shipping: What You Need to Know

International Shipping

At BIBLIO, being part of an international marketplace means that as a bookseller, you're required to ship to international destinations.

Don't worry; we've got some helpful tools and options to make this process as smooth as possible! We also have two international shipping programs for qualifying orders: DHL International Expedited Shipping Program and Asendia Consolidated Shipping Program.

Customizing Postage Rates

You have the power to tailor the default postage rates applied to your orders.

We've created something called a "shipping matrix" that lets you adjust postage charges after orders are placed. This means you can set rates that work best for you and your customers.

Setting Up Your Shipping Matrix

In your shipping matrix, you can specify reasonable values for postage to different shipping zones worldwide. Just a heads-up, though: putting a zero in any postage field of your shipping matrix doesn't turn off shipping options to that zone. Instead, it essentially offers free shipping to that area.

Getting Accurate Rates

We want to ensure you have the most accurate default postage rates for each order.

So, if you need assistance with customizing your shipping matrix, don't hesitate to reach out to us at bookseller-support@BIBLIO.com. We're here to help you get it just right.

Adjusting Postage Charges

Now, let's talk about adjusting postage charges on orders. If it turns out that an order costs more to ship than your default postage rate, you have the option to request additional postage funds. You can do this by clicking on the "Adjust charges" button in the order details.

Customer Rejections

If the customer rejects your request for additional postage, don't worry. You can cancel the order to prevent it from affecting your fulfillment rate

Alternatively, you can choose to ship the order without the extra postage if you prefer.

Reducing Postage

Conversely, if your default rate is more than the actual postage cost, you can also use the "Adjust charges" button to reduce the postage. We want to make sure you're not overcharging your customers.

Large or Heavy Books

For those hefty tomes or multi-volume sets, we recommend including a note in your listed description.

This note should indicate that additional postage might be required for shipping.
